This is why the world's best teachers flock to Medmastery (and ignore the others)

Downtown Salzburg

Imagine this: It’s 7 am on a Monday morning and you’re about to do something which will impact the lives of millions of patients...

On any other Monday morning, you’d be hitting the snooze button as you groggily kick off the sheets and get ready for a day at work. Monday-itis would slowly start to creep in as you sip your coffee and mentally prepare to begin your dreaded commute across town. But today is different...

You're in Salzburg: The City of Salt.

The alarm is off. The sounds of a bustling city are noticeably absent and you slowly ease into the morning. A soft ray of early sunlight filters through the embroidered curtains and lands gently on your face, rousing you naturally from your well-earned rest. Birds chirp on the ledge of your hotel room, beckoning you to look outside your window and take in the stunning scenery. Salzburg - the hometown of Mozart, Sound of Music and Medmastery - is world-renowned for its beauty and you begin to understand why. Named for the salt mines that brought fame and fortune to this little picturesque town, it’s easy to see why the baroque architecture and mesmerizing scenery earned it a UNESCO heritage listing.

Not a bad way to start off your week...

Where you’d rather be on a weekday morning... Medmastery teacher Siamak Moayedi cycling along Lake Wolfgang, Austria.

But how did you get here, you wonder?

Let’s start at the beginning.

Eight months ago, Franz Wiesbauer, the founder of Medmastery, reached out to ask whether you’d like to create a course with their award-winning medical teaching company. The prospect excited you but you were reluctant to say yes because it seemed like it would be a lot of work. But Franz’s enthusiasm and Medmastery’s existing library of cutting-edge courses convinced you that this was going to be a good investment of your time.

Fast forward a few months, and you’re cantering through the streets of Austria, getting ready to record a course that will teach thousands of doctors who’ll be responsible for millions of patients over their careers.

“I’m moving here”, you quietly decide, as you stroll towards the Medmastery office in downtown Salzburg. You’ve been building up to this moment for several months and the scenery is just the icing on the cake. You’re looking forward to the end of the week when you’ll celebrate the end of your course recording with a sightseeing trip.

You might decide to hike and cycle through lush green mountains. Walk amongst stunning floral displays and opulent palaces. Wander through the birthplace of Mozart as you sample our world-famous Salzburg beer. Gatecrash an Austrian wedding...

But before all that, we’ll pack you into our recording studio and get to work.

Recording a Medmastery course

Mak Moayedi recently produced a course with Medmastery and recounts his experience in the following video:

Mak reflects on his time in Salzburg and experiences recording his course, Emergency Procedures Masterclass.

Like Mak, you’ve spent months preparing for this. Crafting a world-class medical course isn’t easy. But our team of award-winning designers, producers, and medical consultants have been working alongside you every step of the way. And it’s finally showtime.

Mak Moeyedi MD says cheese!

You start out nervous. Being on camera can be nerve-wracking right? You’ve lectured thousands of students from a podium but this is a totally different ballgame. Your words will forever live on in the annals of digital medicine. But you’re soon put at ease by a recording team who’ve done this dozens of times before. They are here to make you look good. It’s actually...kinda fun. Creating an immortalized record of your deep expertise is actually quite enjoyable. Who knew?

....and more smiles on set...

Lots of laughs, great food, and recordings later, you did it! You’ve extracted your expertise onto video and it’ll soon be streaming on the phones, iPads, and laptops of thousands of eager doctors and students all around the world.

But first, you’ll head out for a night of scrumptious food and drinks with the team who’ll spend the next few weeks fine-tuning and perfecting your course for launch. Milestone achieved.

This could be you.

We meticulously plan every moment of your teaching experience with Medmastery to make it world-class–just like you. We fly our teachers over to Austria, put them up in cozy boutique hotels, take them around this gorgeous town, and then equip them with a highly-experienced team to make the teaching journey as seamless and as enjoyable as possible. Unlike many other education platforms, we curate the experience to bring out the best in every single one of our teachers. We want you relaxed, super-charged, and ready to fire at your best when that camera goes live.

The impact you’ll have...

By teaching on Medmastery you will help millions of patients. The average US physician sees 4200 patients per year. So you just need to reach 1000 doctors with your course to potentially impact over 4 million patients. There’s no faster way to spread your knowledge and to leave a dent in the medical universe than by using the power of the internet and online learning.

Convinced yet? Join the club!

We’re always scouting for brilliant doctors to take along on the Medmastery journey. If you’re a known expert in your field (or know someone who is!) and have a burning desire to share your expertise with thousands of eager doctors around the world, we want to hear from you.
