Breaking NEWS: Medmastery “highly commended” by the British Medical Association

We’re super-excited to let you know that Medmastery won an award at the British Medical Association’s (BMA) Medical Book Award in the digital category.
Medmastery was decorated as “highly commended” by the Association. The medical book awards take place annually to recognise outstanding contributions to medical literature. And even though we’re not a book, we’re still considered literature.

"The Medmastery platform tackles a variety of different medical topics offering a range of courses and workshops in the fields of cardiology, respiratory, renal medicine and intensive care. The learning objectives of each course are clearly stated to help users select the most beneficial modules to their learning needs – and the courses themselves are structured logically and concisely to address each of the expected learning outcomes. The subject matter covered in each module is current and accurate, with each module having apparently been written and taught by an expert in that particular field. The Medmastery resource is extremely easy to navigate. Explanatory material on how to operate the program and move between modules is provided but reading this is not necessary as the platform is so user-friendly. The educational material on Medmastery is presented clearly, concisely and in a logical sequence. The information is presented audio-visually with a variety of animation and video to engage the learner. In addition to these video modules, accompanying written “downloads” are provided – summarising the key learning points for each chapter with helpful illustrations and diagrams. Self-assessment tests are provided at the end of most chapters to help consolidate learning from the previous module. Completion of these assessments allows the achievement of CME accreditation points. The Medmastery platform is visually very engaging – each module is filled with a variety of video, animation, colour and illustrations. Text is kept to a minimum and, when used, is typically in a numbered or bullet point format to identify key facts or learning points. The videos themselves are clear and concise, and topics are split into easily manageable chunks to assist learner focus and interest."
