Abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture kills 50% of its victims before they reach the hospital. Ultrasound is noninvasive and the least expensive way to diagnose and track AAA. Become an expert in the anatomy, pathology, and bedside ultrasounds for AAA screening. Identify dissections, determine whether surgical repair is needed (open or endovascularly), and monitor patients pre- and post-operatively.
