  1. Use the most commonly employed pulmonary function test interpretation algorithm.
  2. Apply spirometry to the assessment of patients with suspected lung disease.
  3. Use lung volume measurements in the assessment of lung function.
  4. Use specialized tests of lung function to uncover respiratory disease.
  5. Use pulmonary function testing to guide management of diseases affecting the lungs.
  6. Use specialized tests of lung function to assess patients for selected circumstances (e.g., commercial air flight).
  7. Develop a step-wise approach to ordering pulmonary function tests in challenging cases with unclear diagnoses.
  8. Use lung function testing to help manage patients on mechanical ventilators in the ICU.

The presentational methods for this activity will be Case Presentation and Lecture.
