Desired Outcomes

    Practice and strengthen the skills and principles covered in the ECG Yellow and Blue Belt courses:
  1. Measure intervals and amplitudes on the ECG.
  2. Diagnose right and left ventricular hypertrophy, ST depression and T negativity, myocardial infarction, atrial hypertrophy and atrial enlargement.
  3. Identify high degree AV block and different forms of blocks.
  4. Evaluate the ST segment and ST elevation myocardial infarction.
  5. Recognize electrolyte disturbances.
  6. Recognize what rhythms are life-threatening and what rhythms are not.
  7. Recognize the various causes of bradycardia.
  8. Differentiate between broad- and narrow complex tachycardias.
  9. Identify high degree AV block and different forms of blocks.
  10. Identify normal and abnormal pacemaker functions.

Target Audience

This activity is geared to meet the educational requirements of Junior Doctors, Internal Medicine Residents, Young Cardiologists, Internal Medicine Subspecialties, Medical Students, Nurses, Paramedics, Anesthesiologists, and Family Medicine Physicians.

Format

The presentational methods for this activity are Lecture and Case Presentation.

Instructions for participation

Each participant must watch all the video lessons, successfully pass all quizzes of this activity with a grade of 100% and complete a post-evaluation form. Once completed, your certificate will be made available immediately for download. If you receive a score of 99% or less, you may retake the quiz until successful.
